Where does your nonprofit stand on digital?
Ten minutes, eighteen questions, no account required. You get a reading of your practices across five dimensions, and a link that only you decide to share.
- Ten minutes
- Eighteen questions across five screens, plus a final page about the size of your organisation.

Step 1 of 7
Before you start
These questions are about facts, not about what ought to be done. No answer is expected over another, and there is no correct trajectory. You alone decide afterwards whether to share the link to your result, and with whom.
Answer as close to your real situation as you can. A flattering assessment helps nobody, starting with you.
Five dimensions, four loops
The Alliance Numérique & IA pour les associations has identified four self-reinforcing causal loops that hold back the sector's digital transformation. Those loops describe a system. The five dimensions below translate them to the scale of a single organisation.
Funding loop
Steering and decisions
The place digital holds in your decision-making and in your budgets.
Technology trust loop
Tools and data
What your team works with day to day, and where your information lives.
Skills loop
Skills and support
What your team knows how to do, and the people it can lean on.
Support ecosystem loop
Continuity and backup
What happens the day something breaks, and who you turn to.
Technology trust loop
AI use
Actual use within the team, and the position your board has taken. Choosing not to go there is a perfectly valid position.
Methodology
Framework version 1.
The assessment covers eighteen questions across five dimensions. Each question offers four levels, from the most common to the most established. A dimension's score is the average of its questions, mapped to a named stage. No overall score is calculated, and no average of the five dimensions is produced: adding up practices that share neither cost nor effect would say nothing useful.
The five dimensions map to the four causal loops identified by the Alliance Numérique & IA pour les associations, drawn from forty interviews with foundations, nonprofits and support organisations. The Tools dimension and the AI dimension both belong to the technology trust loop.
A declarative self-assessment measures a perception, not a verified reality. It replaces neither an audit nor hands-on support. Two people from the same organisation may answer differently, and that gap is itself useful information.
The framework may be reused and adapted, with credit to the source. Write to us if you would like to adapt it for your network.
What we keep
Your answers, the calculated stages, the declared size and budget, and the date. No organisation name, no personal name, no plain-text IP address. An email address is stored only if you ask to receive a copy of the report.
To have an assessment deleted, send us its link.
Who publishes this tool
This self-assessment is published by Inpactum, a platform connecting impact-driven organisations with people skilled in digital. In other words, we sell services in the field this assessment measures. We say so here rather than in the footer: the framework was written to be useful and reusable, not to steer you towards our offers, and no tool or provider recommendation appears in your result.
The Alliance Numérique & IA
This work is offered as a contribution to the Alliance's tooling working group, which brings together more than two hundred and fifty nonprofits, foundations and technology players around the digital transformation of the nonprofit sector.
